Viola Winifred Bubert, 87 - 07/15/1923 ~ 03/24/2011
FALLBROOK -- Viola Winifred (Winnie) Bubert was received into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2011. She is survived by her children, Carrolyn Wendt, Charlene Bracci, Lonny Bubert, Mark Bubert, La Vonne Mussman, Elana Bagley, Eugene Bubert, and Pam Wagoner; fifteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and many others who she adopted into her heart. Winnie was born in Clear Lake County, South Dakota, and married more than 50 years to Charles Edgar Bubert, who passed away in 1998. She then married Jack McMahon who passed away in 2005. She was in the Navy during WWII as a Parachute Rigger 3rd Class. She belonged to the Happy Hatters Red Hats Society and was active in St. Peters Catholic Church. Services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011, at 1 p.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 525 W. Vista Way, Vista, Calif. 92083.
