FAIRFAX, VA - Joanna Faith (Seely, Backman) Kendrick, 72, Passed away on Oct. 9, 2004 at her residence in Fairfax, VA.
She was born March 20, 1932 in Leavenworth, WA. She graduated from Toppenish High School in 1950. In 1952 she married Dennis Backman of Wapato, WA (deceased 1956). Later married James Kendrick (deceased 1999).
Joanna is survived by children, Marcia (Paul) Waro of Fairfax, VA and James Kendrick of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Taylor (Angela) Brown and Paul Brown; siblings, Paul (Darlaine) Seely of Lynnwood, WA; Sharon (James) Wilson of Toppenish, WA; Stanley (Gloria) Seely of Tacoma, WA; and many cherished relatives and friends. She made a valiant fight against cancer, but she was at total peace with meeting her savior.
Funeral services will be held at The Falls Church, 115 East Fairfax St., Falls Church, VA at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 14. Private interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Shoreline Community Church, 125 NE 185th St., Shoreline, WA at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2004.
