ADA — Services for Leora Sealy, 84, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, the Rev. Toney Buck and Bill Frazier will officiate. Burial will follow at Sandy Cemetery, near Sulphur.

Mrs. Sealy died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1923, at Connerville, Okla., to Iverson and Ida Ned Alexander.

She attended Bloomfield Academy and Carter Seminary in Ardmore. Mrs. Sealy was a cook for the Chickasaw Nation Head Start Program, a member of Oak Grove Indian Baptist Church in Roff, and a former member of the W.M.U.

She married Emerson Lee Sealy on Feb. 26, 1945, at Ada. He died Nov. 16, 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Della Miller and husband Alvis, Ada, and Robin Fulsom and husband Weldon, Ada; grandchildren, Billy Martin Jr., Ada, Lisa Myers, Oklahoma City, Krystal Myers, Ada, Richard Myers, Seminole, Oscar Worcester, Cushing, and Char Johnson, Ada; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charlie Carter, Connerville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Andrew Alexander, and two sisters, Pearline Carter and Virgie James.

Bearers will be Ray Meely, Buster Greenwood, Larry Colbert, Jay Mule, Douglas Worcester, and Jade John. Honorary bearers will be Edison Sealy, Dale Parker, and Gary Harrison.
