Beverly J. Seeley, 81, of Academy Street, Prospect, passed away on April 1, 2012, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. She was born in Gloversville on April 14, 1930, a daughter of Gerald and Delphine Smith Calhoune. She grew up and attended schools in Gloversville and moved to Prospect in 1958, where she worked at Prospect Free Library, first on the board and then as library assistant. Beverly enjoyed camping and traveling, and was a member of the Singing Hills Senior Citizens. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Walt Pomichter, Prospect, and Nancy and Patrick Turner, Oriskany Falls; one sister, Elveda Soper, Utica; grandchildren, Jaime Pomichter and special friend, Tammy, and children, Kristie and Tim Hopsicker and children, and Jerry L. Turner; great-grandson, Paul Pomichter; two great-great-grandchildren, Coraline Pomichter and Jamie David Pomichter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Ackley-Mills Funeral Home, 9597 Main Street, Remsen. Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment is in Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Prospect Free Library. The family would like to thank the staff in C-Wing at Sunset Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Beverly.
