FOREST LAKE, Minn. — Janet Seeley, age 100, of Forest Lake, Minn., formerly of Billings, passed away Dec. 28, 2013. She had moved to Forest Lake in May of 1999 to be closer to her niece, Joyce Hockensmith, where she resided until her death. Also surviving are a niece, Gloria (William) McNab, and several grandnieces.

She was born July 20, 1913, in Bantry, N.D., the daughter of John and Minnie (Chope) Caldwell. She married Edwin "Eddie" Seeley, July 3, 1942, in Miles City, Mont. They lived in Denver, Colo., and moved to Billings in 1942. Janet worked at Woolworth's in downtown Billings for many years before retiring to take care of her invalid husband. Eddie died in 1984.

She was an active member of St. Bernard's Parish and had a special appreciation for Father David Reichling's sense of humor and caring for his Parish.

Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. Mass at St. Bernard's Church, 226 Wicks Lane. Smith Funeral Chapels is in charge of arrangements.
