Floy Beatrice 'Bea' (Banks) (Maynard) Seeley

BENTON HARBOR -- Floy Beatrice "Bea" (Banks) (Maynard) Seeley of Benton Harbor, passed away June 1, 2004, at 12:25 p.m. in peace and went to be with the savior after having been under hospice care for the past two weeks.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, June 3, and prior to the 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, funeral services at the Fairplain Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, Benton Harbor. Services to be officiated by the Rev. William Hughes, pastor of First Free Will Baptist Church. Final resting will be in North Shore Memory Gardens. There will be a gathering at the church following burial, where friends and family may come together. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice at Home of Stevensville.

Bea was born April 14, 1915, she was 89 years old. Bea was a housewife. She liked to sew and read and was involved in her favorite passion, the First Free Will Baptist Church, 3472 Territorial Road, Benton Harbor, Mich. Bea moved to Michigan from Paragould, Ark., in 1948, with her first husband, Redick O. Maynard, who preceded her in death in 1965. Bea and Redick had three children who survive, L.C. Maynard (Colleen) of St. Joseph, J.C. Maynard (Annie) of Burbank, Ill., and Shirley French (Bill) of Benton Harbor. Bea later was married to Kenneth Seeley, who also preceded her in death. Bea was also preceded in death by two granddaughters; two brothers, Edward and Cecil Banks.

Bea is survived by three grandsons; two granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Bea will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
