Our mother, Glenna Seeley, will be celebrating her 87th birthday in Heaven today. She lost her short battle with pancreatic cancer on August 12, 2009. Mother met Daddy, Clarence William Seeley, in 1946 and they were married in 1947 and remained committed to each other until Daddy passed at age 58 in April of 1980. Mother is survived by her three children and their spouses: Cheryl and Arnold Beukelman, Larry and Margie Seeley, and Dalyce and Billy Kingston. She is also survived by five grandchildren and their spouses: Jason and Chessa Beukelman, Joel Beukelman, Michael Beukelman, Kerri (Kingston) and Danny Warren, and Katie Kingston. She is also survived by five great grandchildren: Liam, Keira and Mia Beukelman and Kaden and Farah Warren. She has three sisters and their spouses that survive her: Gladys Jensen, Adrianne and Bob Brummer and Patty and Jim Haury. She leaves numerous treasured nieces and nephews as well.
Mother held many jobs in her life but her proudest job was that of Mother. She is probably best known for her job from which she retired - Finance Secretary at Bakersfield High School. She was a devoted Christian and now celebrates with her Lord and Savior along with her mother and father, Wm Oscar and Beulah Taylor; her sisters, Ruth Imogene Taylor and Irma Earlene Leonard and her beloved husband, Clarence.
