James M. Seeley

BEACON – James M. Seeley, of 4 Coffey Ave., died Friday at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Castle Point.

The son of James and Bridget (Flynn) Seeley, he had been a lifelong resident of Beacon where he had been a correction officer at Matteawan State Hospital until 1955. Mr. Seeley had been a member of the William B. Wilson Post # 666 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

On Aug. 7, 1937 he married Winifred Lang at the St. Joachim’s Church, Beacon. He was survived by his wife and sister, Mrs. Louise Peters of Tarrytown.

Friends may call at the Hignell Funeral Home, 10 Willow St., Beacon today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Resurrection will be offered at St. Joachim’s Church Monday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Joachim’s Cemetery.
