M.L. Seeley Dies at 56
Melvin L. Seeley, 56, of 1208 Park St., died yesterday at the Veterans Administration Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Seeley was a life resident of Syracuse. He was employed as a truck driver for the LaVoy Moving & Storage Co. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 41 and the 40 and 8 Legion society.
Mr. Seeley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Izzo Seeley; a daughter, Mrs. Jo Anne Straight of Buffalo; five brothers, Olen Seeley of Bridgeport and Ettna, Lawrence, William and Policeman Leo Seeley; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Owens and Mrs. James Caudle of Pulaski; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Farone & Son Funeral Home, 723 James St., the Rev. John D. Grocott, pastor of the First Ward United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
