Ora Christine, born Aug. 9, 1942 in Poteau, OK, died Sept, 17, 2002, at her home in Okla. City. She graduated from Poteau, OK high school in 1960 and received her B.A. degree from Southeastern State Univ., Durant, OK and her Masters from MO State University at Warrensburg, MO. She was an art teacher for over 30 years in the Butler, Missouri public school system and was a member of First Baptist Church, McLaughlin. She is survived by her mother, Gladys Henson, Shawnee, OK; sisters, Sammye Crawford & husband James, Venezuela, Mary Firestone & husband Fred, Broken Arrow, OK, Nancy Mihura & husband Jim, Shawnee, OK, Betty Brown & husband Oren, OKC, and Linda Sexton & husband Raleigh, OKC; beloved friend, Michael Violett; and many nieces & Nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH, 44720. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel, Bethany, OK, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Okla. City. Mercer-Adams.
