Robert Lee Seeley, 68, of Byesville, Ohio, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at Akron City Hospital.
He was born in Sebring, Ohio, on Aug. 14, 1930, to Harry Robert Seeley and Jane Cecilia Sanders Seeley. He married his wife, Ruth Alice Flynn Seeley, on July 23, 1955. He was retired from B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. of Akron, where he was an engineer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Clearfork Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, of the home; children, Debra Ann and John Rush of Byesville, Tina Marie Rush of Creston, Kimberly Dawn and Lt. Col. Michael Kessler of Annadale, Va., Shawn Driedee Heasley of Creston, and Harry Robert and Sharon Seeley II of Kimbolton; brothers, Harry Willard Seeley of Wadsworth and James William Seeley of Akron; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangement are being handled by Thorn-Black Funeral Home of Cambridge. Private family graveside services are being held Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Rev. James Ohde officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.(Thorn-Black, 1-740-439-1365.)
