SEELEY, Robert Lloyd
On the morning of Saturday, March 31, 2007, Robert Lloyd Seeley, 63, of Canton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home while surrounded by his loving family. Robert, or Bob as he was more commonly called, the son of Lloyd and Doris (Williams) Seeley, was born on September 22, 1943 at Cora Ross's Maternity Home in Canton, PA. Bob attended the Canton School District, graduated from Canton High School in 1961 and was a graduate of Rochester Business Institute in 1963, earning his Associate's Degree in Business Administration. While in high school, Bob met the love of his life, Kay Louise Campbell, whom he married on March 21, 1964. Bob and Kay recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. Bob was employed by Ground Water Systems in Bloomfield, NY, at the time of his passing. Bob was passionate about his job and enjoyed interacting with his coworkers and all of his customers. Prior to that, Bob operated the family farm with his brother, Fred Seeley from 1976 to 1991. Prior to 1976, he was employed on the sale end of the water pump business.
Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed doing everything with his grandchildren, from playing board games to pulling them in a wagon, coloring, swinging them on a swing set, gardening, reading to them and taking walks in "The Grove." Bob and Kay also enjoyed vacationing with their children and grandchildren, particularly Ocean City, MD. Bob also loved to travel, having made several trips to Las Vegas over the years, which earned him the affectionate title of "Mr. Las Vegas", as he knew "The Strip" like the back of his hand. He and Kay also enjoyed going on cruises, the most recent one being to the Caribbean. Bob also enjoyed hunting, playing Trivial Pursuit, playing cards, listening to music, doing yard work and gardening, more specifically working in his strawberry patch, but most of all, Bob enjoyed living life and spending time with his family and friends. Bob considered every day a gift. Bob was a member of Canton Moose Lodge #429.
In addition to his wife, Kay, Bob is survived by his mother, Doris Seeley, Canton, PA; three children, Jeff and his wife, Bonnie (Morgan) Seeley of Granville Summit, PA, Lori and her husband, Robb Dunn of Summerville, SC, and Karen and her husband, Travis Ayres of Granville Summit, PA; five grandchildren, Alex and Madelyn Seeley, Mia Dunn and Cam and Jadyn Ayres; sisters, Mary Faith and Dick Van Noy of Etters, PA, Lucinda and Glenn Stone of Trinity, NC; and brother, Fred and Bev Seeley of Canton, PA; special sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Alan Hoover of Canton, PA, Janice and Gary Smith of Corning, NY, and Lois and Fran Leggett of Torrance, CA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. "Randy" Campbell in 2000; and his granddaughter, Kaylin Roberta Seeley in 2005. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
