CHARLES ROSS SEELY

Charles Ross Seely, 81, formerly of 603 S. Limestone st., died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in the Stevens Nursing Home following seven months of illness.

Mr. Seely was born March 13, 1881, in Springfield, a son of David W. and Lydia Sangers Seely. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Seeley was an employe of the Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel, of the nursing home; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Vera Daughterty and Mrs. Charlotte Seely, both of Springfield and two nephews, John Monroe of Springfield and Ben Seely of Albuquerque, N.M.

His body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lester Taylor, pastor of Clifton Avenue Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
