Edward E. Seely
CONNEAUT LAKE - Edward E. Seely, 55, of Conneaut Lake, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at his residence.
Born Feb. 2, 1952, in Erie, he was a son of Thomas A. Seely and Betty J. Lindberg Seely. He married Linda J. Seely May 1, 1996, and she survives
He attended Tech High School of Erie. Ed started his career as a cabinet maker and worked with his father in the auto body trade. Upon coming to Meadville, he opened Ed Seely’s Towing & Garage. He then purchased Lakeside Beer Distributor of Conneaut Lake. He has owned and operated the Fairway 12 Motel at Conneaut Lake for the past six years.
Ed was known for helping people in need, often allowing those without a place to go to stay at the Fairway12.
He was affiliated with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Erie
He was a member of the Hunting and Fishing Club, the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall and ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education).
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Linda Seely of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Autumn Seely Ferringer and her husband, Randy, of Cochranton; four stepsons, Billy Lenigan and his wife, Laurie, of Meadville, Michael Lenigan of Meadville, Don Albaugh and his wife, Tracy, of Cochranton, and Richard Albaugh of New York; six grandchildren, Stephen Ferringer, Dyllan Ferringer, Kyle Lenigan, Donald Albaugh, Ashley Albaugh and Lindsey Albaugh; two sisters, Nancy Little and her husband, Doyle, of Girard, and Roberta Rouse and her husband, Douglas, of Lawville; Joe Boxer Seely, his beloved pet and champion; the members of ABATE and Thunder on the Lake; and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allan Seely.
Calling hours are today from 2 to 7 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ellen Rezek, chaplain of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, officiating.
Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
