Maude P. Seely Dies at Her Home in Provo

Maude Camille Payne Seely, 65, 550 N. 700 E., Provo, died Monday morning at her home following a long illness.

She was born April 4, 1904 in Springville, a daughter of Fred J. and Bertha Alice Payne. She married Alonzo L. Seely on July 28. 1929, in Provo.

Mrs. Seely was educated in Provo City Schools and later worked as an aide at the Utah State Hospital for several years. She was active in the LDS Church, serving as a member of the Provo 19th Ward and in the Relief Society. Her hobbies were fancy needlework and fishing.

Surviving are her husband of Provo; two sons and two daughters, Grant L. Seely and Richard Daley Seely, both of Orem; Mrs. Alton Dale (Joyce) Jackson, Spanish Fork, and JoAnn Seely, Provo; nine grandchildren; her step mother, Mrs. Mary E. Payne, Long Beach, Calif., and a half-sister, Mrs. Al (Faye) Taylor, Long Beach, Calif.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 E. Center, Provo, Bishop Harold Bailey officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the services. Burial will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery.
