Robert Leslie Seely

Robert Leslie Seely, 93, of LeBlanc’s Special Care Home, Salisbury and formerly Petitcodiac passed away Friday January 11, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Havelock he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Gourley) Seely. Leslie was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and was a former Village Councilor in Petitcodiac. In his early years he worked on farms and for lumber companies and retired from Canada Cement Lafarge in Havelock.

Survived by his daughter Rosena Crouse (Douglas) of Quispamsis; his sons Royden (Myrna) of Wheaton Settlement, Grant (Sherry), Parker (Phyllis), Malcolm (Sharon) all of Petitcodiac, Richmond (Cherry) of Upper Coverdale; a sister Lillian Keith of Fredericton; sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Frances nee Keith; brothers Charles and William; sisters Clara Keith, Lurena Brown, Hazel Keith, Florence Keith, Alice Clark and Lena Keith ; a granddaughter Natasha Seely.

Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Tuesday January 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.

If desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
