Wellen Seely

The funeral services of Wellen Seely, an old resident of Jackson, were attended from the M.E. church in this village on July 4th. The Rev. Dr. Ford, of Elmira, officiated. The deceased was in the eightieth year of his age, and the text selected was as fitting as the sermon delivered was appropriate, namely, “The days of our years are three score years and ten,” etc. The departed was the father of Dr. N.R. Seely as well as of John C. Seely, of Elmira.
