Died, at Lindley, N.Y., Oct. 14th, Mrs. Catherine Seelye, widow of the late William Seelye, in the 74th years of her age. Fifty years ago the Lawrenceville Presbyterian society was organized and a church edifice erected by Rev. E.D. Wells. Among the names of charter members was that of Mrs. Seelye and husband. Through the fifty years of church history Mrs. Seelye has been a sincere disciple, with eyes fixed steadfastly upon her Savior, with an abiding faith that was never known to shrink or waver; a tender, loving heart, always ready with helpful sympathy and charity broad as the universe. May the Blessed One send comfort to the lonely hearts of those who are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother, and each one to be at last safely gathered with her in the “solace of the King.”
