PEKIN – (PNS) – Jeff Seelye, 57, of 406 S. 2nd St. died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. He had been a patient three weeks, but had been in failing health your years.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kuecks Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in Forest City Cemetery at Forest City.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born March 6, 1901, at Green Valley, a son of Henry and Mattie Dyer Seelye. He married Lena Mae Herman in November, 1929.
Surviving are his mother, Pekin; two sons, Robert and Delbert, Pekin; three brothers, Carl, Edward and Henry, Pekin; a sister, Mrs. Grace Williams, Pekin; three grandchildren. His father, a sister, two brothers and a granddaughter preceded him in death.
He worked at the American Distillery Co., the last 25 years.
