Bernice E. Seelye, 66, of 715 E. Gift died at 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 1992, in the Proctor Hospital emergency room.
Born Feb. 25, 1926, in East Peoria to David and Dora Cook Farris, she married Richard J. Seelye on Jan. 11, 1947, in St. Louis. He died Dec. 4, 1988, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathleen Seelye of Peoria; and two brothers, Orval Farris of Chicago and William Farris of Orangevale, Calif.
She worked in the cafeteria at First of America Bank for 16 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, where visitation will be one hour before the services. The Rev. Warren D. Freiheit will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
