So the children Thomas and Sophronia are those mentioned in the report. Although at the top of the report it seems to be about Thomas it is actually Jonas who is the Capt. and pensioner.

b. October 1842 IN is living as a cousin with Anna C FARIS, age 43, George FARIS, son age 21, Ruby C FARIS, dau. age 17 and William DANIILES, a servant.

Interesting to note that the U.S. Representative in the petition is George W. Faris, Congressman from Terre Haute IN.
