E.M. Seely - Longtime Lake County resident, Edward Mack Seely, 90, of Upper Lake, died Dec. 5 at his residence. He was born Feb. 15, 1896 in San Jose.

Mr. Seely was a resident of San Jose for 50 years prior to moving to Lake County 33 years ago. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a pear rancher for 50 years. Mr. Seely was a charter member of American Legion Post No. 89 in San Jose.

He is survived by son Edward Seely of Upper Lake, daughter Betty Ann Kjeldgaard of Eugene, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by the American Legion Post No. 89 on Dec. 8 at the Oak Hill Funeral home in San Jose. He was buried at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose. Arrangements were by Jones Mortuary, Lakeport.
