Edith Lois Seely
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hadley Funeral Chapel for Edith Lois Seely of Visalia.
Mrs. Seely, 71, died Tuesday in a Visalia hospital.
She was in the restaurant business in Visalia for a number of years, operating the Welcome Inn and the Knotty Pine.
A native of Fort Smith, Ark., moved to Visalia in 1942.
Mrs. Seely moved to Alaska in 1954. She bought a boat and operated a commercial fishing business until 1978 when she returned to Visalia.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Visalia and was a three-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Kenai, Alaska.
Mrs. Seely is survived by three sons, Samuel L. Davis of Visalia, John O. Davis of St. Helen’s, Ore., and Luther R. Rogers of Beckwourth; one sister, Ruby Kay Chester of Parker, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday at the Hadley Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Briles will officiate. Burial will be in the Visalia Cemetery.
