Former Eureka Resident Dead

G. Alexander (“Sandy”) Seely, former Eureka businessman, died at his home in Los Angeles this morning. He left here in 1915 and became associated with the Eastman Kodak Company in the laboratory department in Los Angeles.

While in Eureka he was a member of Seely Brothers photographic studios and was well known as the bass singer of the Seely brothers quartet.

He was a native of Maine and came to Eureka with the Seely family in 1907.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; four brothers, Walter of Hollywood; Dick of Balboa Island; Louis, Balboa Island vicinity and Edward of Eureka; three sisters, Dorothy Rice of Whittier; Bessie Kelly and Olive Westphal, both of Los Angeles.

Services are pending in Los Angeles.
