Aukum Native Dies Suddenly At L.A.

Funeral Services Held On Wednesday; Burial At Los Angeles

Henry Seely, 71, a native of the Aukum district of this county and a brother of W.W. Seeley, of Placerville, died early Sunday at Los Angeles, where he had made his home for the past twenty years.

Word of the death of his brother was received by Mr. Seeley on Sunday morning. It was learned funeral services would be Wednesday followed by burial at Los Angeles.

Although particulars were not stated, it was understood that Mr. Seely’s death was entirely unexpected.

Born at Aukum, in this county, Mr. Seely spent his boyhood at that place and, in younger manhood was engaged in farming and mining. He married Miss Laura Votaw, also of this county.

About 20 years ago the couple moved to Los Angeles.

Mr. Seeley is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Votaw Seely, and a brother, Louis at Plymouth, in addition to a brother, W.W. Seeley, of Placerville.
