SPRINGFIELD – Valerie Renee Seeley of Springfield died Feb. 18 of complications of diabetes. She was 37.

Seeley was born Feb. 9, 1962, in Springfield to Melvin and Linda Jones.

She graduated in 1980 from Willamette High School. Seeley worked 21 years as a certified nurse’s aide.

Her interests included crocheting.

Survivors include her mother, Linda Lane of Springfield; her father of Alaska; a son Joshua Dorris of Springfield; a stepbrother, Charles Lane of Kansas; two sisters, Barbara Harris and Nancy Lane, both of Springfield; and a stepsister, Joy Lane of Missouri.

No services were planned. Major/Fredericksen Springfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
