William Kenneth Seeley

April 22, 1917 – Feb. 3, 1995

William Kenneth Seeley, 77, died Friday.

He was born in Lebanon. He grew up in Silverton, and graduated from Silverton High School.

He moved to Salem in 1942. He worked as a carpenter and foreman from Smith and Nelson Construction for many years. He worked two years as a custodian for the State Printing Department before retiring. He served in the Army.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed panning for gold and leather working. He married Bernice Lambrecht in 1941 in Sublimity. She died in 1993.

Survivors include sons Garry and James, both of Salem; daughters, Marilyn Harper of San Diego and Kathleen Byrd of Salem; brother, John of Oceanside, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Rigdon-Ransom mortuary. Vigil services will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the mortuary. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Interment will be Restlawn Memory Gardens.
