Gladys ‘Esther’ Seeley

Gladys ‘Esther’ Seeley, 93, a longtime Stanfield resident, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994, at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston.

The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stanfield Presbyterian Church. Burial will be held later at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.

Mrs. Seeley was born Dec. 13, 1901, at St. Joseph, Mo., to Hollis L. and Mary Lucy Wills Courtney.

In her young years, she taught at a one-room schoolhouse in Colorado.

She had been a resident of Stanfield since 1937.

She was an active member of the Stanfield Presbyterian Church and was active in the Stanfield Senior Center. She had made and delivered quilts for many years.

Her husband, Glenn M. Seeley, died in 1972. Surviving are nieces, Catherine Mason of Arkansas City, Kan., and Gladys Houk of Broken Arrow, Okla.
