John Seeley

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Memorial chapel of Ekraths Funeral Home for John Seeley of 603 North Second St. He died suddenly Friday afternoon of a heart attack after helping to beat out a grass fire.

Mr. Seeley was born in Nebraska on Dec. 3 1890. He had lived in Silverton for 21 years.

Survivors are his widow, Lula; three children, Helen Simmons of Grants Pass, Kenneth Seeley of Salem, and John Seeley, Jr., Silverton; three grandchildren, one brother, Charles Seeley, of Todds Inlet, B.C., and a sister, Ella Paine of Dallas.

Rev. Russell Myers officiated at the funeral services. Vault entombment was at Belcrest.
