Lloyd L. Seely Lloyd Lowell Seely, 83 of Albany died Tuesday at home. He was born in Woodburn and grew up and attended schools in Gervais. He was the son of Perry and Nellie (Koontz) Seely. He married Eileen Colby on Aug. 6, 1938 in Stevenson, Wash., they moved to Albany in 1950. Mrs. Seely died this year on Sept. 15. Mr. Seely owned and operated grocery stores in Albany, Rickreall and Scio before his 1985 retirement. He belonged to the American Bowling Congress and enjoyed mall walking. Surviving are daughters Jeri Smith of Union, Wash., and Ruth Durheim of Prineville; grandsons Jason and Tim Durheim, both of Prineville; granddaughters Rebecca Stark of St. Helens and Stefanie Simpson of Rosamond, Calif.; as well as four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at AAsum Funeral Home, with Pastor David Nolte officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
