Mary SEELY MARY SEELY Mrs. Mary Seely, 86, resident of 325 Ave. A. Seaside, died in the Seaside hospital Thursday at 4 a.m. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past five months. Mrs. Seely was born in Pella, Iowa January 11, 1876 and as a child moved with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Mary) Denotter, to Portland. She received her education in Portland. In 1892 she was married in Portland to William W. Seely and they resided in Portland until 1933. They then moved and operated cottages. Seeley died in Seaside August 22, 1947. Mrs. Seely was the First Gold Star Mother in Seaside; and past President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary of Seaside. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Howard (Zella) Oakleaf, Portland, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Gee and Mrs. Ann Cregg, both of Seaside, and one grandson. Information regarding services which will be Monday will be announced by the Hughres-Ransom Seaside mortuary.
