Second child of Potter Allen (1808-1889) and Polly Bruce (1798-?). Married Boyd Ferguson Seely February 22, 1857, in Monroe County, Wisconsin. Also lived in Dunn County, Wisconsin, and Kansas, then lived in Benton County, Oregon, after 1890. Mother of Esther, Bettie, Julius, Elfie, Guy, Irene, Ivy, and Maud Seely. Following the death of her husband on March 13, 1909, in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon, she moved to Portland in order to be closer to some of her children who had moved there.
