Burt/Bert Garfield SEELY

BERT G. SEELY, of near Woodburn, died at a hospital in Salem Thursday of last week, December 31, the last day of 1936.

He was born at Wilsonville, Oregon, January 28, 1881, and his entire life was spent in the Wilsonville communities.

He is survived by his widow Anna Townsend Seely, a daughter Mrs. Audrey Morley of Blodgett, sons Harold and Glenn of Woodburn, two grandchildren, brothers C.N. Seely of Dayton, Washington, W.B. Seely and R.K. Seely of Woodburn, and Mrs. Mabel Brobst of Wilsonville.

Funeral services were held at the Ringo Mortuary Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Geo. Cromley officiating. Peter Larson sang A Perfect Day, and Face to Face, with Miss Vera Jean Huber at the piano. Pallbearers were G.C. Hayes, A.E. Hughes, R.O. Bonney, F.O. Sweaney, P.H. Seely and R.L. Seely. Interment was in Belle Passi cemetery

Bert Seely, 55, a resident of Woodburn for the past 30 years, died Thursday, December 31, at his home at Woodburn. He has been confined to his home for the past two years from a lingering illness. Mr. Seely was born at Wilsonville, January 28, 1881, where he lived until about 1907. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Seely.

Mr. Seely is survived by his wife, Ann Seely, one daughter, Mrs. (Aubrey) Morley of Blodgett, two sons, Harold and Glenn Seely, of Woodburn, two grandchildren, and the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Oscar Larson, Blaine Seely, Ralph Seely of Woodburn, Mrs. Frank Brobst of Wilsonville, and Charles Seely of Dayton, Wash.

Funeral services were held January 2 at the Bethel Presbyterian church at Woodburn. Pete Larson a nephew of Mr. Seely sang “End of a Perfect Day” and “Face to Face.” The local minister officiated. Interment was at Bellepassi cemetery, Woodburn.
