SANDY, Ore. – Tressa C. Seely, 97, a longtime Bickleton resident died Thursday, January 19, 1989 at Bishop’s Care Center in Sandy, Ore.

Tressa C. Seely was born March 30, 1891 at Corvallis, Ore. to Albert and Mary Wilson. She spent her early years and received her education in Oregon. On September 27, 1911 Miss Tressa Wilson and Carl Seely were married at Corvallis, Ore. Following their marriage they moved to Bickleton where they farmed and her husband was employed by the Klickitat County Road Department for over 30 years. She had made her home in Bickleton and during the winter months made her home at Eagle Creek, Ore. Her husband, Carl Seely, died June 24, 1979.

Tressa C. Seely is survived by two sons, Harold Seely and his wife, Phyllis of Eagle Creek, Ore. and Darrell Seely and his wife, Donna, of Connell, Wash.; two daughters, Dorothy and her husband, Bus Marvel, of Eagle Creek, Ore. and Leona Clark of Bickleton, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Seely and by a granddaughter, JoAnne Seely, Stiles.

Funeral services for Tressa Seely will be held Friday, January 27, 1989 at 1 p.m. in the Bickleton Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Bickleton I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bickleton Presbyterian Church and may be left at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside or at the church at the time of services.
