Ernest Frank SEELY

Services for Ernest Frank Seely, 84, four years a resident of Newberg, were held last week in Mannenbach-Attrel Newberg Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Emerson officiating. Interment was at Friends Cemetery.

Born June 2, 1882, in Fredrickton, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of Luke Henry and Annie McAllister Seely. For many years he was a log scaler and estimator for Weyerhauser Lumber company in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was a 40 year member of the Coeur d’Alene Elks Lodge and a member of Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert Thomas, Mrs. Vera Gibson and Mrs. William Scipp, all of Burbank, Calif.; his sister, Mrs. Maude Root of Newberg; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
