George A. Seely

Funeral services for the Rev. George A. Seely, 81, who died Monday will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (May 31, 1962) in the Apostolic Faith Church, Third and Central, Medford, With the Rev. C.W. Frost officiating, assisted by the Rev. Emerson Matthews of Grants Pass. Interment will be in the Siskiyou Memorial Park. The body will lie in state here Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m. in the Hull and Hull Chapel.

Mr. Seely, born June 22, 1881 in Napavine, Wash., moved to Southern Oregon in 1918 to assist in establishing the Apostolic Faith Church in Medford. He had been a member of the church since 1911 and has been active in the ministry in Medford, Grants Pass and Klamath Falls until his death. He preached his last sermon here, May 23. He and his wife, the former Lucy K. Waggoner, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during the camp-meeting convention in Portland last year.

Besides his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ron(Evelyn) Clark, Grants Pass; four sons, Charles B. and Ralph B. of Seattle, James E., Roseburg and Eugene A. of Portland; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Whitford of Leedale, Alberta, Canada; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
