Harold Leo SEELY Harold Seely Private family services for Harold Leo Seely, 67, of Forest Grove were held. Forest Grove Memorial Chapel took care of arrangements. Mr. Seely, who died Thursday at Forest Grove Hospital, was born Jan. 2, 1914 at Maryville, Mo., the son of Roy and Mary (VanPelt) Seely. He married Josephine Giltner, March 3, 1940, at Forest Grove. He had lived in Forest Grove for several years. Mr. Seely was a member of Disabled Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Washington Post 2. He received his education in South Dakota, moving to Portland and working at a machine shop. He later joined the Portland Fire Dept., where he worked for five years. He joined the army in 1943, serving in Europe where he was wounded. After his discharge, he returned to Forest Grove, opening the Forest Grove Fun Shop, which he owned and operated until his retirement. Survivors include his father, Roy Seely and his wife, Josephine Seely; son, Truman of Longview, Wash.; daughter, Mrs. Marlo Armstrong of Forest Grove; sisters, Dorothea Young of Lake Tahoe, Cal., and Eva Horning of Hillsboro, and four grandchildren.
