Howard Wesley SEELY Howard W. Seely Funeral for Howard W. Seely, a retired U.S. Navy engineering officer will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fuiten Mortuary, Beaverton. Mr. Seely died Saturday in his home in Southwest Portland. He was 78. He was born in Woodburn. He joined the Navy in 1932 as a seaman apprentice and retired in 1957 as a lieutenant commander. He was a past state commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Beaverton VFW Post 4617. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; son, Paul, Portland; daughter, Carol Richardson, Aloha; brother Lloyd, Albany; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private entombment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
