Agnes SEELYE

SEELYE – Agnes Seelye, 82, of 4864 East LaDuke Road, Westfir, Oregon, passed away November 15, 1975 at a Eugene Hospital. Agnes was born January 1, 1893 at Russell, Minnesota to John Fowlds and Sarah Elizabeth Wyant Fowlds. She grew up and received her education at Russell, Minnesota. She moved to California in 1930, where she married Jesse Moses Seelye at Susanville, California on April 20, 1930. They lived in Vallejo, California until moving in 1945 to Oakridge, where they built and operated the Seelye Motel until 1961. They moved back to Vallejo, returning again to Oakridge in 1971. Her husband Jesse preceded her in death on November 8, 1971. Agnes is survived by one brother, George Fowlds of Haleiwe, Oahu, Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Cuene of Walnut Creek, California and Mrs. Muriel Croxford of San Francisco, California; her niece-in-law, Alma Fowlds of Oakridge; great niece, Kay Collins of Westfir; great nephew of Springfield, Oregon. Friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral services on Tuesday, November 18, 1975 at 1 pm at Forestvale Memorial Park Cemetery, Oakridge. Reverend Harry G. Scholz of the Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Kidney Association of Oregon in care of the Oakridge Funeral Home.
