SETH SEELYE KILLED AT STANDARD BOX CO. CAMP

Suffered Internal Injuries and Broken Hip

STRUCK BY LOG EARLY TUESDAY

Was Resident of Banks, and Leaves Widow to Mourn Death

Seth Seelye was killed in the logging camp of the Standard Box Company above Buxton, Tuesday morning, dying from injuries received while watching a log pulled by a cable from a donkey engine. Seelye had fastened the hook to a log, and had stepped to one side, close to another. The log attached to the cable ran into the end of the loose log, causing the farther end to fly toward Seelye. The man was struck with terrific force, and one hip was broken, besides one leg being broken in two places. That he received internal injuries goes without saying, as he died in a short time. Seelye was aged 33 years, and was a big man, physically. He leaves a wife, formerly Miss Pearl Shipley.

Coroner Barrett went to the camp to investigate, and took the evidence of the logging hands.

Seelye was a good workman, and as a rule was very cautious.
