Winthrop Seelye

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in Caldwell’s Colonial Chapel for Winthrop Seelye, who died May 9 at 94.

Mr. Seelye was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Winchester, Mass. He graduated from the University of Washington and received a master’s degree from New York University. He moved to Portland in 1953 and was an accountant for Continental Can Co. He married Vernadel Keith, she died Jan. 1, 2002.

Survivors include his son, Keith W.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His son Norman L. died in 1999.
