HIGHLAND – SEELEY WEDDING IN LERNA CHRISTMAS DAY Lerna, Ill., Dec. 26 – Harold Highland of Kankakee and Miss Flossie Seeley of Lerna were married at 10:30 o’clock Christmas morning at the Presbyterian manse here. Rev. J.C. Irvine officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Phipps of Decatur, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, were the attendants. The bride was attired in a black crepe dress with violet trim and accessories and her corsage bouquet was of violets. Mrs. Phipps wore a printed crepe of lavender and green with accessories to match. Mr. Highland is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Highland Lerna. He was graduated from the Lerna High School in 1933 and later from the Utterback Business College in Mattoon. He is now employed in the office of the Hayes Freight Lines in Kankakee. Mrs. Highland is a daughter of Mr. Ben Drum of Lerna and of John Seeley of Toledo. At noon a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s mother with Mr. and Mrs. Highland, Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Highland of Lerna, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Phipps and daughter of Decatur, Miss Oma Seeley of Mattoon and Mr. and Mrs. John Seeley of Mode as guests.
