Marianne Seeley Weds Harry Joseph Fuhrman

Miss Marianne Catherine Seeley and Mr. Harry Joseph Fuhrman exchanged their marriage vows last evening at a ceremony which took place at 6 o’clock in St. Anne’s church with the pastor, Rev. John Marchisio, officiating. Relative and friends of the young couple witnessed the impressive rites.

The high altar was decorated for the occasion with white gladioli and wax candles.

Miss Marie Graffigna as organist played a prelude of Gregorian music and rendered a Gregorian march for the bridal entry and for the recessional. The youthful bride was escorted by her father, Dr. M.J. Seeley.

The bride wore white organdie with floor-length skirt made of narrow ruffles of eyelet embroidery, the close-fitting bodice topped with a yoke of eyelet embroidery made in round neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Her veil was fingertip length, caught at the head with a coronet of white roses and she carried a white prayerbook with marker of white orchids and white satin streamers knotted with orange blossoms.

Conforming to tradition, she wore a tiny blue bow in the roses in her hair, her gold baby ring on a chain around her neck and carried a lace handkerchief which she borrowed from the maid-of-honor.

Miss Anne Wallior as maid-of-honor wore a floor-length dress of yellow printed organdie; she carried a bouquet of carnations and gladioli in blue and white and in her hair she wore a heart-shaped arrangement of fresh flowers matching her bouquet.

As bridesmaid, Miss Gertrude Seeley, sister of the bride was gowned in aqua blue organdie and she carried yellow gladioli and white carnations, wearing a matching arrangement in her hair.

For jewelry each attendant wore a single strand of pearls, the gift of the bride.

As flower girl, little Joan Spears of Sacramento, cousin of the groom, wore pink organdie, carried a French bouquet and wore a little pancake hat of matching flowers.

The bridegroom was attended as best made by his brother-in-law, Mr. Jack Liebig of Lodi.

Following the ceremony at the church the reception took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. M.J. Seeley, in Cherokee Lane. The bride’s table, covered with a white linen cloth, was centered with the bride’s cake topped with miniature bride and groom and mixed flowers were used in the rooms.

Assisting in the reception were Miss Marguerite Seeley, sister of the bride; Mrs. B.W. Seeley, aunt of the bride; Mrs. Paul Nesbit and Mrs. Ted Barth.

The honeymoon will be spent at an unannounced destination, and for traveling Mrs. Fuhrman wore a two-piece yellow summer suit with brown accessories and corsage bouquet of orchids.

The bride was graduated from St. Anne’s School and from Lodi Union high school and has been attending Sacrament Junior college, where she is a member of the Art League. In Lodi she is a member of the Juniors of the Woman’s club and is a past president of the Juniors of Y.L.I.

Mr. Fuhrman also graduated from Lodi high school and at present is employed in Sacramento, where the couple will reside. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fuhrman of Acampo.
