MISS MARY LUCY SEELEY IS BRIDE OF PROF. L. C. FENNER

Several from Middletown Attend Wedding at Port Jervis Last Evening

Miss Mary Lucy Seeley, of Greenville, and Prof. Leopold Charles Fenner, of Port Jervis, were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Madison Seeley, in Greenville, at 8 o’clock, on Wednesday evening April 26, in the presence of 100 guests from Greenville, Port Jervis, Middletown, Newburgh, Pond Eddy and New York city. The house was prettily decorated with evergreens and flowers.

Promptly at the hour named, the wedding party descended the stairs to the music of the wedding march from Lohengrin, pleasingly rendered by the orchestra under the direction of Walter P. Seren, and entered the parlor, taking their places under the large white bell suspended from a beautiful arch of evergreens and roses. The ring ceremony was impressively performed according to the ritual of the Reformed Church, by the Rev. Willard Conger, of Port Jervis.

The bride made a pleasing appearance in her gown of white Georgette crepe over white taffeta. She wore a tulle veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.

Miss Josephine Moore, of Port Jervis, the bridesmaid, wore a costume of pink taffeta and pink chiffon, and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

The maid of honor, Miss Florence Wells, of Greenville, wore a costume of green taffeta and green Georgette crepe. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Walter C. Senger, of Port Jervis, was best man.

At the conclusion of the ceremony the bride and groom received the congratulations of the company, and then a fine supper was served by Mrs. Charlton, of Port Jervis; and her corps of assistants. Seren’s orchestra furnished music during the evening.

The gift of the groom to the bride was a beautiful gold cameo bracelet, the favors of the bride to her bridesmaid and maid of honor were a gold ring and gold brooch; and of the groom to the best man, a toilet set. The bride was the recipient of a large number of handsome valuable and useful gifts, comprising silverware, table linen, household goods, and many articles which comprise important factors in the furnishing of a home.

During the serving of the supper, the engagement of Miss Florence Wells, the maid of honor, to Reeves Seeley, a brother of the bride was announced through the distribution of two white paper hearts tied with white ribbon bearing the names of Mr. Seeley and Miss Wells in red letters.

At a late hour, Prof. and Mrs. Fenner departed in an automobile for their wedding journey, their destination not being known. On their return they will make their home in this city. The groom is engaged in business at No. 36 Front street, as proprietor of a music store.

Prof. and Mrs. Fenner, who are well and favorably known in Port Jervis and vicinity, particularly in musical affairs, have the best wishes of hosts of friends for a long, happy and prosperous life.
