Seeley – Scheel Rite Saturday In Platteville Miss Ruth Marie Seeley and Richard Henry Scheel both of Platteville, exchange marriage vows in Peace Lutheran Church, Platteville, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Emily Seeley is the mother of the bride and the bridegroom’s parents and Mrs. Inez Scheel, also of Platteville and the late Elmer Scheel. White silk taffeta, the neckline edged in lace and pearls, formed the floor-length gown worn by the bride. Her French illusion veil was caught to a pearl crown and she carried three pale pink roses with a lace handkerchief. Hugh Seeley, Elgin, Ill., gave his sister in marriage. Honor attendant for the bride was her sister, Miss Nancy Seeley. Miss Carol Longhorn was a bridesmaid with Miss Kay Cushman. Their street-length dresses of powder blue velvet featured floating chiffon panels. Their headbands repeated the blue shade and the white fur muffs they carried were adorned with pink roses. The bride’s brother, James Seeley, Lancaster, served as best man. Ronald Waterman and James Kingeter were groomsmen and ushering were Joel Barnes, Gary, Ind., and Richard Millman, Hanover, Ill. A reception was held at Wisconsin State College and Institute of Technology, Platteville, where the young people studied. The bride is employed at Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago, and Mr. Scheel is in military service at Ft. Sheridan, Ill. They will reside in Waukegan.
