Seeley – Degen Charles E. Seeley, 109 Boutelle street, and Miss Lena E. Degen, 47 Dexeter street, were married by Rev. Fr. James J. Donnelly at St. Bernard’s church at 9 o’clock this morning. The marriage was witnessed by a large congregation of friends and relatives. The attendants were Miss Theresa Seeley and Walter Seeley, brother and sister of the groom. Rev. Fr. W.L. Mulcahy said the nuptial mass. The bride wore a white silk dress and veil. The bridesmaid wore a light blue dress with hat to match. Both carried bouquets. Miss M.G. Carey presided at the organ and played the bridal chorus from Lohengrin as the bridal party entered the church, and Mendelssohn’s wedding march as a recessional. A wedding breakfast for the immediate families were served at the bride’s home and later in the day they left on a trip to New York, Washington and Boston. On their return, Mr. and Mrs. Seeley will live in Leominster, where Mr. Seeley is employed by the Leominster Gas Co.
