Miss Greth Gwilliam Will Become Bride in June

Already June is presenting itself as a popular month for brides…and among those to take their place with the nuptial parade at that time will be Miss Greth Gwilliam, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Gwilliam of 2308 Van Buren.

Her approaching marriage to Clifford E. Seeley, son of Mrs. William Myers of Salt Lake City, will be formally announced at a one o’clock luncheon today at the home of her sister, Mrs. Robert T. Wright, by Mrs. Gwilliam. Those who are expected to attend the event are Mrs. Robert T. Wright, Mrs. Earl R. Corey, Mrs. John W. Gwilliam, Miss Pauline Gwilliam, Mrs. Henry W. Gwilliam, Mrs. Horace Nebeker, Miss Maude West, Mrs. Vaun B. Belnap, Mrs. Robert V. Belnap, Mrs. Walter L. Stevens, Mrs. Ted Greenwell, Mrs. Hugh Stevens, Mrs. Raymond P. West, Mrs. William Myers, Mrs. Olive K. Ray, Miss Elaine Ray, Mrs. Harry Wendel, Mrs. Herchild Eldredge, Mrs. Francis Eldredge, Mrs. Grant Mosby, Mrs. William Bluke, Mrs. Alfred Williams, Mrs. Clarence E. Briggs, Mrs. Don Thatcher, Mrs. Gordon Jones, Mrs. Murray Roberts, Mrs. C. Angus Wright, Mrs. William Herrick, Miss Myrene Barton, Miss Ardell Chambers and Miss Pauline McCoy.

The wedding date has been set for June 9 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple, after which the couple will make their home in Salt Lake City, where Mr. Seeley is employed as an inspector for the state liquor control.

The bride is a graduate of Ogden high school and for the past year and a half has been employed as secretary to the Ogden ration board. Mr. Seeley attended University of Utah and is a member of Delta Phi and Pi Kappa Alta fraternities.

Temple Vows Unite Pair In Salt Lake

Miss Greth Gwilliam, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Gwilliam of 2308 Van Buren, became the bride of Clifford Ed Seely, son of Mrs. William Meyers of Salt Lake City, Friday morning in the Salt Lake temple.

Immediately following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was given by Mr. and Mrs. Herchild Eldredge, brother-in-law and sister of the bridegroom, at their home in Salt Lake City. In the evening a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with about 200 guests attending.

The bride and bridegroom received their guests before a background of pink and white peonies combined with gladioli and ferns. The bride was charming in an eggshell satin gown, styled en train with a sweetheart neckline and tight bodice with pearl trim. Her fingertip veil of bride’s illusion was arranged at the head with a coronet of orange blossoms and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of orchids and white rosebuds.

Attending the bride as maid of honor, were Miss Myrene Greenwell, who wore a blue net creation, and Mrs. Murray Roberts, as attending matron, who was gowned in a matching pink net model. Both carried gardenias and white roses.

Mrs. Gwilliam wore a white net dress and Mrs. Myers chose a peach georgette. Both wore corsages of Talisman roses.

Francis Eldredge of Salt Lake City was best man.

Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Robert Wright, Mrs. Earl Corey, Miss Maude West, Miss Norene Barton, Miss Ardell Chambers, Mrs. Gordon Jones, Miss Pauline McCoy and Miss Judy Hilton.

A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a bride and bridegroom was featured.

Mr. and Mrs. Seeley will make their home at 985 Browning, Salt Lake City.
