Former Local Teacher Is Married

Miss Marlene Grace Michel, former Billings teacher, became the bride of Donn E. Seeley, son of James A. Seeley of Oakland, Iowa, in a ceremony Sunday in Bismarck, N.D.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michel of Bismarck, wore a white silk shantung gown with empire waist, lace inserts and train. Her fingertip veil was held by a pearl trimmed cap. She carried an orchid circled with roses and stephanotis.

Attending the bride were Jane D. Peterson and Carol Dunn of Billings and Janet Stedman of Great Falls. They wore lavender organdy gowns and carried white roses.

Hay O. Forbes was best man and ushers were Lawrence Indergard of Billings and C. ray Michel of Minneapolis.

The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Nicolai. Charion Larson was organist and solos were sung by Marshall Caswell of Billings.

Following a reception in the church parlors the newlyweds left for Banff and Lake Louise. Upon their return they will reside in Seattle, where Mr. Seeley will be administrative assistant to the director of basic research at Boeing Aircraft Corp.

Local Teacher Is Engaged To Be Married

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michel of Bismarck, N.D. have announced the engagement of their daughter, Marlene, 1231 N. 31st St., to Donn Seeley, son of James Seeley of Oakland, Iowa.

A June wedding is being planned.

Miss Michel attended St. Olaf, and Moorhead State Teachers College in Northfield and Moorhead, Minn., and Western Washington College of Education in Bellingham. For the last three years she has been teaching in McKinley School.

Mr. Seeley will graduated in June from Cornell University with a master’s degree in business administration. He has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and spent six years in the Far East as a Carter Oil Co. employe.
