Seeley – Edsall

A very beautiful wedding was solemnized on Saturday at 1 o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Levi L. Edsall, near Pine Island, where their youngest daughter, Ida Mary, was united in marriage to Frank Hamilton Seeley, of Rutherford, N.J. The ceremony, which was of the ring service, was performed by the Rev. J. MacInnes, of Unionville, and in the presence of about 150 relatives and friends.

The attractive home presented a very beautiful appearance, being elaborately decorated with pink and white apple blossoms.

The bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of the Mendelssohn wedding march, rendered by the Victrola, preceded by Master Clifford Edsall, of Wayne, N.J., carrying the ring on a heart shaped cushion of white satin. The bride was attended by Miss Ruth Conkling, of Slate Hill, as bridesmaid and Harry Edsall, brother of the bride, acted as best man.

The bride was handsomely gowned in a dress of white pussy willow taffeta, with embroidered net and pearl trimming cut en train. She wore a tulle veil cap effect with a wreath of lilies of the valley and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. She also wore the groom’s gift, a lavaliere, set with diamonds.

The bridesmaid was beautifully gowned in pink French voile with silver lace and carried pink roses. She wore a gold bracelet, the gift of the bride.

Following congratulations, which were very hearty, and elaborate luncheon was served by the caterer, Mr. Ward, of Sussex. The bridal gifts were many and beautiful, among them being cut glass, silver, furniture and money.

The groom was formerly from Hamburg, N.J., but is now a resident of Rutherford, where he has won a number of friends.

The bride is a lovely young lady, and both have the best wishes, with hearty congratulations of their many friends.

After the luncheon, Mr. and Mrs. Seeley departed, by auto, amid a shower of confetti, for a wedding journey, which will include Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes. The bride’s traveling suit was blue eponge with hat to match.

Fred Seeley, of the Panama Canal Zone, a brother of the groom, was unable to attend on account of war conditions.

Friends and relatives were present from the following places: Newark, Paterson, Rutherford, Wayne, Hamburg, Vernon, Sussex, N.J., Middletown, Goshen, Monroe and all the nearby towns in the vicinity of Pine Island.
