A wedding which came as a great surprise to their many friends was that of Carol Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Brown northeast of Tipton, and Hubert Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Seeley of Windfall which took place Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock at Anderson. Both Mr. and Mrs. Seeley are graduates of the Windfall high school with the class of 1935 and both have many friends in that locality to extend them congratulations and best wishes. For the present they will make their home with the bride’s parents, but the plan to go to housekeeping in the near future. Published in the Tipton Tribune, (Tipton, Indiana) May 18, 1936 page 3 Mr. and Mrs. Arch Brown entertained Friday evening at their home northeast of Hobbs with a miscellaneous shower in honor of their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Seeley of Windfall, who were recently married. There were 125 guests present and the couple received many lovely gifts. Later Mr. and Mrs. Seeley and the latter’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Weismiller, who were married Friday afternoon, were taken for a ride in a calf wagon through Windfall and Tipton. Refreshments of candy bars and apples were served at the Brown home.
